ITINERARY:

DAY 01: ARRIVE AT CHENNAI – MAHABALLIPURAM

On arrival at Chennai Airport, meet and transfer to your hotel in Mahabalipuram. Check into hotel for a stay of 02 nights. Rest of the day you are free to relax.

DAY 02: MAHABALIPURAM

Morning set aside for sightseeing of Mahabalipuram including the Shore Temple, Arjuna's Penance, and Artisans Village etc. Afternoon depart to Kancheepuram, the “City of Thousand Temples”. This place is also famous for hand-woven silk fabrics. Evening you return to hotel. At night stay in Mahabalipuram.

DAY 03: MAHABALIPURAM - PONDICHERRY

After breakfast, drive to Pondicherry. Pondicherry is a charming coastal town with a few enduring pockets of French culture and an ashram. Check into hotel for 01 night. Afternoon, explore the nearby places including the Auroville, Pondicherry Museum and the Botanical Garden. In the evening spend some time at the beach. Overnight stay at Pondicherry.

DAY 04: PONDICHERRY - SWAMIMALAI

Morning depart for Swamimalai. En route, visit Gangaikondacholapuram and Darasuram. On arrival, check into the resort for 02 nights stay. After noon proceed for sightseeing tour of Tanjore. Visit the most spectacular Brihadeeswara Temple, Saraswathi Mahal Library and Art Gallery with a large collection of Chola bronzes - a unique example of Hindu architecture. Overnight, stay at Swamimalai.

DAY 05: SWAMIMALAI - TRICHY – SWAMIMALAI

Morning, go for a day excursion to Trichy . You visit the Rock Fort and Ganesh Temple built at its highest point. Also visit the Tayumanaswamy and Sriranqam temples. Overnight, stay in Swamimalai.

DAY 06: SWAMIMALAI- CHETTINAD

Morning, leave for Chettinad. On arrival, check into a private bungalow for 02 nights' stay. Overnight, stay in Chettinad.

DAY07: CHETTINAD

Your host will introduce you to the local Chettinad cuisine and, given the slightest encouragement, will regale you with stories of local folklore. Overnight, stay at Chettinad.

DAY 08: CHETTINAD – MADURAI

Morning, drive to Madurai. On arrival, check into the hotel for 01 night stay. After noon proceed for a sightseeing tour of Madurai. Visit the Meenakshi Temple, Thirumalai Naicker Palace, Koodal Azhagar Temple and the Gandhi Museum. In the evening, visit Meenakshi Temple to attend the Pooja ceremony. Overnight, stay at Madurai.

DAY 09: MADURAI-CHENNAI

Morning, transfer to Madurai Airport to catch your flight to Chennai. On arrival at Chennai, meet and transfer to hotel for 01 night. Rest of the day, free to relax or for own activities. You can opt for a sightseeing trip of Chennai. At night stay at Chennai.

DAY 10: DEPART FROM CHENNAI

Morning you are at leisure. Later, transfer to Chennai Airport for your flight back home.

Visit the most spectacular Brihadeeswara Temple, Saraswathi Mahal Library and Art Gallery with a large collection of Chola bronzes - a unique example of Hindu architecture.
