The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, Phuket's most ethical sanctuary, provides interested tourists with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to engage with majestic elephants in the safety and security of their natural habitat. Our English-speaking guides educate guests on the behaviour and personal history of our animals, while our mahouts assist them achieve unique life experiences like bathing elephants in Phuket or hand-feeding them.
The Sanctuary itself provides breathtaking views of beaches and forests that guests may enjoy at their leisure. The elephants are more than eager to let their new companions admire the scenery or snap photographs so that everyone recalls their Phuket trip.
The package includes two traditional Thai buffet meals, drinking water, and even elephant chow!
When you get to the sanctuary, the guides will give you a general summary of the tour, how our welfare initiatives work, and some animal information. We recommend that you bring some items with you because the trip might get filthy and wet (in a good way!). Bring a hat, sunscreen, a swimming suit, a towel, and extra clothing. You will be feeding, washing, and even playing with the animals during your visit to Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. You'll even be able to tell everyone you know that you went elephant swimming in Phuket! We also believe it is critical that you understand as much as possible about these species and why it is critical to conserve them. We wish to promote the ethical treatment of these amazing animals all over the globe as an ethical refuge in Phuket. With the funds raised via visitors and donations, we can help them by rescuing them, feeding them, providing veterinary treatment, and providing them with land and infrastructure to live on.

Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is a Thailand-based ethical and sustainable eco-tourism initiative. It began in July 2014 as a cooperative venture by members of the Karen hill tribes of Northern Thailand and Chiang Mai people concerned about the health of elephants in Thailand. We presently care for elephants in four regions in Thailand: Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya, and Koh Samui. Our objective is to set a good example and help to transform people's perceptions of elephants; to see a future where elephants are not hunted, ridden, overworked, or abused, but are instead treated with care, love, and respect.
