Milam glacier is the source of the river Gori Ganga and is one of the biggest glaciers of the region. The glacier is fed by 7 other glaciers namely Timphu glacier, Sakram glacier, West Bamchu glacier, Mangraon glacier, Surajkund glacier, Ikualari glacier, Bilanlari glacier.
The route of this trek is the same as that of Nanda Devi East Base camp until Pachu, from where the trek to the base camp of Nanda to Milam Glacier.
The starting point of the trek - Munsiayari itself is a very beautiful hamlet in the lap of the Himalayan peaks. The 5 peaks of Panchachuli, twin peaks of Nandadevi, Trishuli, Hardeol, Nandakot, and glimpses other peaks including those of the neighboring Nepal makes this trek a wonderful and picturesque journey.
The village of Milam, Lilam, Martoli, Pachu and other villages on the route gives lot of insights into the local life and culture. It is perhaps the best way to explore the Kumaon Himalayas and also understand the Himalayan geography.

Day 1 - At The Morning 5-6 Am Start Drive To Munsyari 150 Km and Than Start Drive to lilam village 40 km Reach Lilam Village Overnight stay at lilam village.
Day 2 - At The Morning 5-6 Am Start Trek to Mapang Via Nain Singh top approx 14 Km Reach To Mapang Overnight Stay At Mapang.
Day 3 - At the Morning 5-6 Am Start Trek From Mapang To Bugdiyar 13 Km Reach To Bugdiyar Overnight Stay At Bugdiyar.
Day 4 - At The Morning 5-6 Am Start Trek from Bugdiyar To Milam Village 14 km via Rilkot Martoli Reach To Milam Overnight stay at Milam village.
Day 5 - At The Morning 5-6 Am Start Trek 5 km To reach Milam Glacier uttrakhand. And Trek back To Milam Village Homestay. Overnight stay At Milam village.
Day 6 - At the Morning 5-6 Am Start trek to Bugdiyar 14 km Overnight stay at Bugdiyar.
Day 7 - At the Morning 5-6 Am Start trek to Mapang 13 Km. Overnight stay at Mapang.
Day 8 - At the Morning Start Trek To Lilam 13 Km Reach lilam overnight stay lilam Or Drive to Munsyari overnight stay at Munsyari.
