Orchard Hut Home Stay is the home of an ecological extended family that provides meals and lodging to those interested in experiencing authentic village life. The home is constructed of clay and wood in the traditional manner and has nice, clean, and simple rooms with verandas overlooking the hills and valley. There are single, double, triple, and four-share bathroom connected rooms, as well as tents on the hill terraces. The home has separate bucket bathing and toilet facilities.

What to Expect

Kut-Chadiara, a dispersed settlement in the Panj-La Valley, is positioned 1325m above sea level on a natural terraced hill. Orchard Hut, surrounded by fruit trees, vegetable fields, and woodland, gives a bird's eye view of the huge River Saal in the valley below and is a 20 to 30 minute switchback country walk from the bus stop at Masar Village on the Chamba - Saho route, 9 km from Chamba town. By the other side of the Chamba-Laira bus road, 15 km from the Chamba bus terminal, one kilometre jeepable road from village Siundi, and then a 10-minute rural walk to the orchard hut.
