At Astrostops, our evening astronomy session begins promptly at 7:30 PM as the sky gradually darkens to reveal the canvas of stars above. Hosted by experienced guides, the session opens with a brief introduction to the night sky, highlighting the constellations visible that evening, the mythology behind them, and their significance in different cultures. Using high-quality telescopes, participants get a rare chance to observe celestial wonders such as the Moon’s craters, distant planets like Jupiter and Saturn with its rings, star clusters, and even nebulae.
Throughout the session, the guides share fascinating insights into the science behind what we see — explaining concepts like light years, stellar evolution, and the vast scale of the cosmos. The environment is informal yet deeply immersive, with participants encouraged to ask questions and share their own experiences. Binoculars and star charts are provided to aid star-hopping and make the experience interactive.
As the session progresses, storytelling weaves astronomy with philosophy, inspiring awe at our place in the universe. The clear mountain air, far from city lights, offers exceptional visibility, making each gaze into the telescope a magical journey. The session ends by 9 PM, leaving guests with a profound appreciation of the cosmos and a sense of calm connectedness with the universe.
Astrostops is located in a pristine, low-light pollution area, making it one of the best spots for stargazing in the region. The session is designed for all age groups and experience levels — from curious beginners to passionate amateur astronomers. Our expert guides use professional-grade telescopes, including motorized and computerized models, to ensure clear and precise views of celestial objects.
We also provide warm blankets and comfortable seating to ensure that guests remain cozy during the cool mountain nights. Refreshments such as herbal teas and light snacks are available before and after the session to enhance the experience. The session includes a brief orientation on how to use star maps and apps, encouraging participants to continue exploring the night sky on their own.
Astrostops emphasizes experiential learning, combining scientific knowledge with storytelling, cultural astronomy, and mindfulness. Our mission is not just to teach about stars and planets but to inspire a deeper connection with the universe and our place within it. Group sizes are kept small to allow personal attention and foster a friendly, engaging atmosphere.
For those interested, follow-up workshops on astrophotography and telescope handling are available. Booking in advance is recommended, especially during peak seasons, as the sessions often fill quickly. Weather conditions can affect visibility, and sessions are rescheduled or refunded if skies are too cloudy.

What an initiative! It’s not just a weekend away, it’s like stepping into a whole new world where you can actually feel the universe. The entire crew, the equipment, and the itinerary were flawlessly managed, and you can tell everyone there is genuinely passionate about the stars. My mind was completely blown away during the telescope sessions. We didn't just look up, we got to really see Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, the Orion Nebula! The absolute peak for me was finally getting to see the Milky Way! I’ve always wanted to see it. Also, the dark skies here are phenomenal, perfect if you are into astrophotography and want to capture some stunning images of the night sky. A special acknowledgement must be given to instructors Rahul and Bharat, who elevate the sessions with their expert guidance and warm hospitality. They know everything about the sky. But it’s not just about the astronomy! The whole experience is a complete reset button. We did meditation in the jungle, including a beautiful, resonant session with a Tibetan singing bowl. The location itself is stunning hidden away in the quietest part of the jungle. And the food! Oh my gosh, the home cooked meals were divine. The family that hosts you treats you like actual family; they are so sweet and make sure you are comfortable and incredibly well fed. This trip did so much more than just show me the stars, it made me feel deep gratitude and left me completely recharged. If you need a break from the noise and want an adventure that connects you to something huge, you must experience this. It’s a definite bucket-list item!

A truly transformative experience. A childhood dream of observing the stars through a high-end telescope finally became reality. Everything about the stay exceeded expectations—the Swiss tent accommodation, freshly prepared meals, music, warm hospitality, and the incredible GSO Dobsonian telescope. Spending over 11 hours stargazing was far beyond anything I had imagined. An absolutely exceptional experience, and I’m already looking forward to returning.
