KedarKantha Peak is located in Govind National Park of Western Garhwal, surrounded by panoramic river valleys, snow-laden mountains, and small villages with a rich flora-fauna. It is one of the easiest treks in Himalayas to experience the snow covers, and the drive from Sankri Village to Kedar Kantha is a panoramic and picturesque drive through Mussoorie, Naugaon, Purola, Mori and Naitwar. The snow covered path and meadows will give a perfect glance of the Himalayan Crown. Humbleness of the regional people will impress you.

The Kedarkantha trip is a beautiful scenic walk in the Garhwal Mountains. The total return walk from Sankri is around 24 kilometres long and takes about four days to complete. The hike leads you to the 3800-m summit of the Kedarkantha peak. The view from the summit provides a breathtaking vista of the region as well as other lesser-known peaks, valleys, and communities. The Himachal Dhauladhar mountain, Rupin valley, Har Ki Dun valley, and views down to the dense hamlet of Purola are also visible. Because of the snow on the surrounding summits, all of the mountains and sharp points appear to be commanding high points.
