If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, pack your bags and travel to Soans Island (previously AMGOL), a magnificent strip of land located directly at the entrance of the Varahi River, 6 km from Kundapur in the tranquil hamlet of Basrur. Forget about your problems as you listen to the calming sound of waves and tropical palms moving. Several freshwater fish live in the nearby waters.
Barcelore, an old trading town, is located near the island. The Arabian Sea is only a few kilometres away from the island's southern edge. Except for a few staff members, the island is virtually deserted, so you have the entire island and surrounding sea to yourself.
