The Ummaid Bagh Resort in Bundi is a working farm on the shores of Lake Jait Sagar. It is only 2 kilometres from Bundi city and is flanked on three sides by mountains and a lake. During the winter, it is home to numerous migrating birds. In the year 1796, Shreeji Ummaid Singhji, the 18th king of Bundi state, gave this land to his sons Sardar Singhji and Bahadur Singhji. This was once known as the Aaraamgaha, or royal rest house. The current owner of the property, Maharaja Rajendra Singhji of Dugari, wanted to transform and advertise the farm as a spectacular camping spot for international visitors visiting Bundi and the Hadoti region of Rajasthan state.
