ITINERARY:
DAY 01: Arrive at Bhubaneswar, visit Ashokan Edicts at Dhauli, Applique work in village ‘Pipli’ and Sun Temple at Konark. the 13th Century, ‘World Heritage’ Temple originally dedicated to Sun God. Drive back to Bhubaneswar after seeing the “Light & Sound” show of Asoka’s Kalinga War at Dhauli.) Overnight at Bhubaneswar.
DAY 02: Morning after early BF check out with Packed Lunch & drive to the Buddhist excavated areas of Odisha. Tarapur having a very small Museum where one can see artefacts found during the Excavation. Here the most important is the Stupa dated IIIrd BC. ,which is named as ‘KesaStupa’& it is believed that Lord Buddha’s Hair is kept inside the stupa. Latter one can visit ‘Kaima’ for Rock Cut Buddhist Sculptures. Another important place is ‘Langudi’ which perhaps is the only place in India which has a Square Stupa. Also Rock cut Buddha statues can be seen here. Radhanagar is another Excavated place where 4 phases of Excavation indicates to four different period starting from 4thBC to 8th AD. Latter drive to Aul Palace.Overnight at Aul Palace.
DAY 03: After breakfast visit Lalitgiri, Udayagiri, Ratnagiri then drive to Bhubaneswar. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.
DAY 04: After breakfast transfer to Airport for Onward Journey. If Time permits you can visit some of the Temples in Bhubaneswar or STATE MUSEUM having a great collection of Buddhist Sculptures.
