ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival in Leh (3, 500 meters / 11, 483 Feet)
We will pick you from the airport and take you to our hotel. You will be briefed about the trip and after your lunch, we will pick you up from the hotel and proceed to Leh place, Shankar Gompa and Shanti Stupa. After visiting these places we will take you to Leh local market where you can roam around in the colorful Leh local market. After your market visit, we will drop you in the hotel.
Day 2: Local sightseeing
Today we will start our journey after breakfast and visit some of the beautiful Buddhist monasteries and other places of importance in the Ladakhi region. We will visit Shey place and monastery, Beautiful Thikse Monastery, Hemis Monastery (the biggest and oldest monastery in Ladakh) and Sindhu Ghat. After visit, we will come back to our hotel and take rest. In the evening you can roam around in the Leh market.
Day 3: Leh to Turtuk Valley (3, 001 meters / 9,846 feet)
Today we will start early and drive to the beautiful Turtuk valley (newly opened for tourists) via Nubra valley. On the way we will cross the famous Khardung La Pass (5,359 meters / 17,582 feet), which is one of the highest motorable mountain passes in the world. After Khardung La we will drive towards Nubra on a spectacular mountain road. After reaching Nubra we will visit the Diskit monastery and Meitreya statue. After visiting Diskit monastery we will drive to spectacular Turtuk valley.
Day 4: Turtuk to Leh via Nubra Valley (3, 048 meters / 10, 000 feet)
Today we will start after our breakfast and reach Hundar in Nubra valley and enjoy the double hump camel ride in the cold desert of Nubra. After our Hundar experience, we will have lunch and return to Leh.
Day 5: Visit Pangong Lake (4,350 meters / 14,270 feet)
Today we will start early and drive to Pangong Lake (4,350 meters / 14,270 feet) which is one of the most beautiful high altitude lake. On the way we will cross another high mountain pass called Chang-La (5,360 meters / 17,585 feet). Pangong Lake is a high altitude saltwater Lake with pristine torques water and surrounded by beautiful treeless mountains. We will enjoy the most beautiful sunset on Pangong Lake and spend our night in a camp on the bank of the Lake.
Day 6: Pangong Lake to Leh
Today we will wake up early and see the most beautiful sunrise on Pangong Lake. After the spectacular sunrise we will have our breakfast and spend some time near Pangong Lake and return to Leh.
Day 7: Departure
Today we will drop you at the Leh airport as per your flight schedule.
