Aasara Homestay is located around 4 kilometres from the centre of Kausani, a tiny village hill station with approximately 3,000 people that is a picturesque magnificence and gives a panoramic view of Himalayan peaks such as Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Panchchuli. Take in the changing colours of the snow-capped peaks between sunrise and twilight. Kausani, located at an elevation of 1,890 metres on the Kausani-Baijnath Road, is 40 kilometres from Bageshwar, 52 kilometres from Almora, 77 kilometres (2.30 hours trip) from Binsar, 59 kilometres from Ranikhet, and 123 kilometres from Nainital, and is accessible by road all year. Pantnagar airport is five and a half hours (162 km) distant.
One may enjoy the seclusion of the stay, go sightseeing, visit fruit orchards, go on temple excursions, or simply have a pleasant time travelling around. The residence of famed Hindi poet Sumitranandan Pant, which has been transformed into a museum, is a must-see for poetry fans. In 1929, Kausani received Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, at Anasakti Ashram. Mahatma Gandhi referred to it as "India's Switzerland."
Excellent property.... On a bright sunny day, the entire Kumaon Range is visible. Food is also of high quality and inexpensive. The only negative is that the site is a little far from the Kausani centre; you must travel through the forest, and suitable directions are not provided on the route.
