In the. In the village we will stay in the comfort of a Homestay & check out the sunset that’s leaves a beautiful crimson hue in the sky while sipping tea.Dinner will be served and then the trek leader will give a briefing for the next day.

    Distance :7km

    After a hearty breakfast
we will hike a 7 km trek from Gaichwan to Julota campsite. The first day of trek is a pretty picturesque hike in which we gain almost 1000 feet above mean sea level.First we come across Karna Mahadeva temple, then the trail will lead us to an apple orchard after which we will reach Haltwari, last village before the dense forest spanning 2.5 km until we reach the beautiful campsite in Julota. The path is laden with fragrant herbs , flowers ,ferns and the tallest of the trees bowed down by a blanket of snow especially during December.

    Day 3: Julota to Pokorla

We will trek towards the green meadows covered with a white carpet of soft snow powder ,the snow could be 2.5 feet ,little evergreen streams of water play hide and seek under the snow and the land, the blue skies with trees getting shorter as we gain altitude can be vividly observed. The hike is gentle yet demanding.
No human habitation for miles altogether only the chirping of birds can be heard though it’s difficult to spot them. The oak laden landscape suddenly opens up to a beautiful meadow from where kedarkhantha peak suddenly emerges as we reach Pokorla.
The evening is spent sipping soups & tea, while the sun sets in the west and paints the sky in so many different hues.Different ranges and peaks like Ranglana,Bandarpooch,Swargarohani lie in all directions like jewels scattered in the glistening sky.
The camp will provide hot lunch and dinner, respectively, after which will do group games, folk stories by trek leaders and star gazing. An early evening is expected as we need to wake up quite early for the summit the next morning.

Day 4: Pokorla to Summit & downhill to Akoti.

We will get up early and with head torches & layers will form into a line and slowly but steadily trek towards the summit at 4am so that we would be able to see the mesmerising sunrise at 6.30 am.After soaking in the 360 degree view of the beautiful Himalayan ranges, like Swargarohani, BandarPuch,Kalanag
….we finally go downhill after we have saved the memories forever in our souls. We will reach the base camp for lunch then we will further move towards Akoti for the night stay in tents, still.

    Day :5 Akoti to Gaichwan

    Distance : 6km

We will trek to Gaichwan and finally after a wilderness trip will feel the comfort of a Homestay.
The trek leader will ask for your feedback and the last dinner with a bonfire will be the best way to say goodbye to the new  trekker friends made on top of a mountain.

Day 6: Gaichwan /Naitwar to  Dehradun

It’s time to inhale the beauty of the mountains ,fill your memories with the fragrance of the oak and maples and know that every summit is possible,we bid goodbye to fellow trekkers that became great friends on a  rugged tral.

Our journey to Dehradun will take the same roads that we first saw but now it feels like home as we leave a part of us in the alpine mountains, and make a promise to return. We would take around 8 to 9 hours to reach Dehradun, can plan to stay in the city for the night or board the train or bus to reach our destination.
